COMMISSIONERS
How we partner with you
Delivering comfortable, rapid, and accurate diagnostic imaging directly to NHS partners, GPs, and patients across the UK.
Our Vision
Targeted community diagnostics
The shift to community-based care requires diagnostic infrastructure that is as mobile as the clinical teams serving it. RADray provides high-resolution digital x-ray services directly to the patient’s residence or GP surgery, removing the logistical and financial burden of hospital transfers.
Clinical scope and capability
We utilise advanced hand-held digital x-ray technology to provide imaging in environments traditionally inaccessible to mobile units.
Imaging scope: Plain film imaging of the appendicular skeleton, chest, and c-spine.
Patient eligibility: All patients aged 18 and over.
Deployment: Rapid-response appointments for care homes, residential settings, and primary care hubs.
Operational standards and reporting
For commissioners, the value of a diagnostic partner is measured by the speed of the data return. RADray is designed to integrate seamlessly into the decision-making loop of primary and secondary care.
Immediate clinical insight All RADray radiographers are Red Dot trained. This allows for an immediate, non-binding preliminary opinion to be shared with the referring clinician at the point of care, facilitating faster triage and treatment plans.
Digital integration and PACS Images are available via our web-based PACS immediately upon completion of the examination. We ensure that the diagnostic data follows the patient, allowing GPs and community clinicians to review high-resolution results without delay.
Guaranteed reporting turnaround We provide a formal clinical report for every examination, returned to the referrer within 48 hours. This certainty of throughput allows for better resource planning and reduces the "wait-time friction" in community care pathways.
System impact and admission avoidance
By decoupling diagnostics from the hospital estate, RADray addresses four critical pressure points within the Integrated Care System:
1. Preservation of clinical stability
Eliminating the need for ambulance transfers for frail or immobile patients prevents the physical exhaustion and upheaval associated with hospital visits. This is particularly vital for patients with cognitive impairments or dementia, where environment continuity is a clinical priority.
3. Accelerated treatment pathways
Rapid on-site imaging enables community clinicians to initiate treatments—such as antibiotics for pneumonia—hours or days earlier than a hospital-bound pathway would allow.
2. Ambulance and NEPT diversion
By delivering the x-ray to the bedside, we remove the requirement for non-emergency patient transport (NEPT) and ambulance crews, freeing up these high-cost assets for emergency frontline calls.
4. Acute capacity relief
Shifting routine and elective x-rays into the community reduces the volume of low-complexity cases in busy hospital radiology departments, allowing secondary care teams to focus on acute and emergency throughput.
Instant Access to Imaging
Clinicians have access to RADray’s web based PACS. The system can be accessed from any computer or mobile device with an internet connection.
Using their unique login details, clinicians are able to access the x-ray images for their patients as soon as the examination has been completed.
With smart allocation of results, the PACS only displays patients that are relevant to that clinician, making it easier for the clinician to find the results they need to see, reducing the amount of unnecessary information and ensuring compliance with GDPR standards.
