Our Pledge
Commitment to inclusive diagnostics
At RADray, we believe that high-quality diagnostic care should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their physical ability or cognitive health. Our service is designed to eliminate the barriers that often prevent vulnerable or marginalised groups from accessing hospital-based imaging.
We believe that exceptional healthcare starts with respect and access for every single person.
Removing barriers to care
We actively promote inclusion by adapting our clinical delivery to meet the specific needs of the individual:
Physical accessibility: By bringing x-ray equipment directly to the bedside, we ensure that patients with severe mobility limitations or physical disabilities can receive diagnostics without the exhaustion and indignity of complex hospital transport.
Cognitive health and dementia-friendly care: For patients with dementia or sensory processing needs, the hospital environment can be overwhelming and distressing. We provide imaging in the familiar surroundings of the patient’s home or care setting, reducing anxiety and promoting a calm, dignified clinical experience.
Geographic equity: We serve urban and residential areas across the Northwest, ensuring that patients in underserved communities—who may lack reliable transport—have the same access to rapid diagnostics as those living near major acute trusts.
Professional standards in inclusive practice
Our commitment to inclusion is reflected in our clinical approach:
HCPC-registered staff: Our radiographers are trained to communicate effectively and compassionately with patients from all backgrounds and with varying needs.
Person-centred care: We tailor the diagnostic event to the patient’s environment, ensuring that we work around their comfort and specific requirements rather than forcing them to adapt to a rigid hospital workflow.
Regulatory alignment: Our inclusion policies support the Equality Act 2010 and the NHS Equality Delivery System (EDS), ensuring that we act as a responsible and equitable partner to the healthcare system.
